I'm daydreaming about bridal showers - they are a strange thing to me... I'm not sure where the tradition started but I am curious. I'm going to be having a bridal shower at some point, so naturally I am thinking of outfits.
This is made worse by my commitment to not buy anything for a long long time.
I saved the vow of non-consumerism in Nate's phone, and thinking I was doing really well I decided to ask him how long it had been...
2 weeks.
Only 2 weeks.
It feels like 2 months.
So its been 2 weeks without a purchase, and 1 week without a drink. (go me, right?!)
But I could be buying some new swag - this would be it.
Or if a very wonderful mother I have wanted to buy me an outfit for my bridal shower then this would be a comprehensive road map! (a girl can dream)
This wonderful dress from ASOS (I'm a size 12 MOM!!) I think the pattern is super romantic - I picture this with a pair of black boots and a flower crown.
Another beauty from ASOS (which also has free shipping Mom, fear not) I am obsessed with gibson girl era lawn dresses, which do not come in a 30inch waist.
So, where do bridal showers come from? Have you ever been to one before? Are they still necessary given that couples commonly live together pre-marriage?
