I know what you're thinking -
"Where is the 'I Hate Mondays' at Brah?"
And I'm all like
"It was a busy week dude!"
And then you're like
"Whatever, we're all busy."
And then I'm like
"Pfft. You don't understand my fighter lifestyle"
....
Anyways. 'I hate Mondays' will be back next week. Hopefully on Monday.
But right now I have three websites which, if you're like me, will make you sweaty and filled with joy...
And no, it's not 'Tiny Woodland Animals in Tophats!'
It's straight up Cabins.
I am getting more and more impatient in my old age, but I am really anticipating Summer.
Namely, camping in the summer with the family.
There is something so wonderful about waking up in the brisk morning mountain air, unzipping your tent to look upon the Rocky Mountains, having your adorbs fiance flint a fire, and percolate you some amazing campfire coffee...
And my personal fave is Pendleton - the launched a capsule collection for fall 2011 called the Portland Collection, and I know I am slow to the draw on this, but it is amazing!
It makes me want to pack this
Wear this
And stay here!

Juz a little something to keep you warm on this frozen Alberta evening -
If you don't have dry shampoo, or do not know what dry shampoo is then this may not in fact be warming your heart - this may just make you feel slightly fuzzy on the inside. And that's okay... I felt that way too before I discovered dry shampoo. I felt fuzzy on the inside, and greasy on the outside. Now I just feel immense amounts of love on the inside, and nobody can tell how long its been since I've showered -
Now doesn't that make your heart explode just a little bit?
The blog is typically the best of best in terms of books and roundups - so please take a peek, but this entry made my heart explode so I thought I'd share it with y'all!
I know. It's Thursday. But I can't not post an 'I Hate Mondays', and because this week marks the return to the old University, I have dropped off the face of the Earth in addition to dropping off the face of this blog.
But enough about me, and more about Whitney Houston...
If you know me, you'll know that I love Whitney Houston, and have always loved Whitney. Yes, even through her Bobby Brown days.
You will also know that if you are in a car with me for an extended period of time that I will sing Whitney Houston (and Boyz II Men, but that is a post for another day friends)
I also love the hit movie The Bodyguard - starring Whitney and Kevin Costner. (I'm talking Robin Hood Kevin Costner = Yum. Yum)
I hope one day that while I'm performing 'Queen of the Night' at a sold out concert dressed like Cleopatra, that my fiance will save me from an assassin in the audience.
Bob Dylan.
I love him, I can barely understand him, but I love him. I saw him in concert when I was fifteen, and I was amazed at how many scarf/ hoop dancers there were. And some dude in front of me offered me some sort of drugs, or breath mints. Needless to say I didn't take them, not to sound like a PSA, but seriously dude, don't take drugs from people at a Bob Dylan concert.
I digress.
I wanted to post Just Like A Woman for you all to listen to, because I am feeling seriously em-wom-masuculated (you know what I mean) lately. I find it strange to think that despite being an adult, I have yet to feel like an adult, I feel more like a kid pretending to be an adult and hoping no one will know the difference...
Here is a pretty amazing version of Just Like A Woman by Richie Havens -
Is anyone else unreasonably sleepy out there?
I have been getting upwards of ten hours of sleep, and still it does not seem like enough.
(not including naps of course)
There is a beautiful montage from 1970s Sesame Street that runs through my head all the time, perhaps you'll remember it -
The video quality is a bit sketchy at best, but if you put on a pair of flare pants and chain smoke I find it easier to watch...
Happy 2012 y'all!
How were the festivities?
We opted to go for a nice quiet dinner, and we had a campfire in our backyard, and in true old person fashion we went to bed at 11:30PM.
Something even more important than New Years is how much I dislike Mondays. I'm sure you share the same sentiment. Much like Garfield or Kathy.
Mondays mark the beginning of a long week, and the end or a short and amazing weekend.
Here at the AGS we are going to have a weekly I hate Mondays feature, which will have some music + photos to help make Monday slightly less awful!
So enjoy!
John Denver
Part Songbird, Part Stud.
The only thing that can make him more incrediable is that he was really good friends with Jim Henson + the muppets.
For Christmas I got his greatest hits record and it has been on heavy rotation ever since!
